Today I write my final blog as a Summer Associate at Bilzin Sumberg.
For the last hurrah of the Summer Program, all of the Summer Associates were back together again. It felt like we picked up right where we left off in June– with laughter and positive vibes. After a day filled with nerves in anticipation of our end-of-summer reviews, we jumped in the car and made our way to Topgolf in Miami Gardens. During our ride, we reminisced about the last eight weeks of the Summer Program and talked about our favorite assignments and events.
While enjoying fajitas and chips at Topgolf, we spent time with our mentors, talked about our upcoming vacation plans, and figured out whether we closely resembled our siblings or not. In between friendly chatter, John Trach explained how to choose a golf club, the proper way to hold the club, and the method he utilizes to swing. By the end of the evening, I was able to make a couple targets (with this being my first time at Topgolf, I was elated to say the least), but it was no surprise at all when John took home the gold medal.
After two summers here, it is bittersweet to see my time come to an end. I know that I speak for all of the Summer Associates when I say that we will miss the social events, the client spotlights, and most of all, the people at Bilzin Sumberg.
Until the next summer class, farewell.
