2025 Summer Associate Bios

Devin Amdursky
Devin Amdursky is a 2L at the Boston University School of Law.
Devin is from San Francisco, California. He graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Political Science in 2023 and is currently finishing his 2L year at Boston University. At BU, he is a Development Article Editor for the Review of Banking and Financial Law Journal and the VP of Communications for the Business Law Society.
Devin spent last summer in New York as a Judicial Intern with the Honorable Kenneth Karas. He is interested in litigation, but has enjoyed the transactional courses he has taken this past semester.

Benjamin Greni
Benjamin Greni is a 1L at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He was elected to serve on the Law School’s Student Honor Committee, is the Law School’s Primary Representative to the Graduate Student Council, and is currently working to found a student organization focused on Food and Agricultural Law.
Prior to law school, he worked as an antitrust litigation analyst at Sperling Kenny Nachwalter for two years. He grew up in Minnesota and, briefly, Canada, went to undergrad in the Bay Area, California, and then lived in Miami for two years before moving to Gainesville for law school.
Alexander Spillis
Alex Spillis is a 1L at the University of Miami School of Law. Before attending law school, Alex had a multi-year career in government affairs and policy, serving as Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniela Levine Cava’s Speechwriter before working as County Commissioner Eileen Higgins’ Senior Policy and Legislative Analyst. Under Commissioner Higgins, Alex was responsible for managing and developing land use, housing, and infrastructure legislation for projects across Miami-Dade County’s urban core.
Most recently, Alex worked for Florida Power and Light as the company’s Senior Advisor of External Affairs, where he was the direct point of contact for numerous city mayors, commissions, and department chiefs. In this role, he worked closely with city officials and staff to coordinate emergency responses, draft legislation aimed at hardening vulnerable infrastructure, and present before city commissions regarding various FPL projects.
Alex holds a B.S. in Economics from Florida State University and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University.
Ashton Terrigno
Ashton Terrigno is a 2L at the University of Miami School of Law. He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and has long held a passion for sports—especially baseball—that heavily influenced his personal and professional journey. Ashton earned his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University, where he majored in Sport Management and minored in Law & Justice. This academic path sparked a strong interest in the legal field and its wide-ranging career opportunities. After graduating at the top of his class, he enrolled at the University of Miami School of Law, where he immersed himself in legal studies and developed an even deeper appreciation for the complexity and impact of the law. During his first year, he received two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Civil Procedure and Elements.
Following his 1L year, he interned at Big League Advantage (BLA), an investment firm focused on athletes. He gained hands-on experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and strategic partnerships—work that confirmed his interest in transactional law. He is particularly drawn to Corporate, Real Estate, and Joint Venture work, while remaining open and eager to explore new areas within the legal profession.
Outside of school and work, he enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. He regularly works out and plays pickleball. He also takes advantage of Florida’s natural beauty by spending time at the beach or enjoying outdoor activities like mini golf!
Carolina Varas
Carolina Varas is a 2L at the University of Miami School of Law. She was recently elected to the Executive Board of the University of Miami Business Law Review, where she will serve as Executive Editor. Over the past year, she has also served as a Dean’s Fellow for Legal Communications and Research Skills I and II. Carolina is the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Communications and Research Skills II, as well as the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement in Commercial Law: UCC.
Last summer, Carolina worked as a Law Clerk at MasTec Inc. Before attending law school, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Business Management, and her Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Florida. While at UF, she served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for the Legal Environment of Business with Professor Emerson, an officer on the Panhellenic Judicial Counsel, and a mentor in the Business Undergraduate Mentorship Program.
A Miami native, Carolina enjoys pilates, trying out new recipes, and watching Florida Gator football in her free time.
Ashley Ware
Ashley Ware is a 2L at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She recently served as Communications Chair on the Executive Board of the University of Florida Law Association for Women and was a student practitioner in the Gator TeamChild Juvenile Law Clinic. Currently, she is a Notes and Comments Editor for the Florida Law Review. Ashley is a Gator Scholar, a Dean’s List honoree, and a recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Torts.
Last summer, Ashley served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Alicia O. Valle of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Before law school, she graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. As an undergraduate, she was a Research Assistant in a Political Psychology Research Lab, served on the Executive Board of the University of Florida Science Olympiad, and was Vice President of Academics for her sorority.
Ashley was born and raised in South Florida. She enjoys going to the beach, cooking new recipes, and taking workout classes in her spare time.
